Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to all gift vouchers issued by TAN Garstang.
Purchasing a Gift Voucher
- Its monetary value
- A unique voucher number
- The date it was issued
- The date it expires
Please check these details when purchasing or receiving a voucher and contact TAN promptly if anything appears incorrect.
Validity and Expiry
Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of issue, unless a different validity period is clearly stated on the voucher.
The voucher must be redeemed before the expiry date shown. Any remaining balance after that date will expire.
TAN may consider requests to extend an expired voucher at its discretion, but an extension cannot be guaranteed.
Using Your Voucher
Gift vouchers may be redeemed at TAN Garstang against eligible:
- UV tanning sessions and courses
- VersaSpa spray tanning services
- LightCare sessions and courses
- Tanning lotions and other retail products
All services remain subject to availability, suitability, consultation requirements and TAN’s usual salon policies.
Customers wishing to use UV tanning equipment must be aged 18 or over and may be required to provide valid photographic identification.
A voucher does not guarantee the availability of a particular service, appointment time, product or piece of equipment.
Booking an Appointment
Where an appointment is required, please tell the TAN team that you intend to pay using a gift voucher when booking.
Appointments remain subject to TAN’s usual cancellation and missed-appointment policy. Any applicable late cancellation or non-attendance charge may be deducted from the voucher balance.
Part Payments and Remaining Balances
Gift vouchers may be used as full or part payment.
Where the purchase costs more than the voucher balance, the remaining amount must be paid using another accepted payment method.
Where the purchase costs less than the voucher value, the remaining balance may be used on a future visit before the voucher expires.
No cash change will be given.
Exclusions
Gift vouchers:
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Cannot be used to purchase another gift voucher
- Cannot be resold for commercial purposes
- Cannot be combined with another promotion or discount unless TAN agrees otherwise
- Cannot be applied retrospectively to a purchase already completed
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Vouchers
Gift vouchers should be treated like cash and kept securely.
TAN cannot guarantee replacement of a lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged voucher. A replacement may be considered where the original purchase and unused voucher balance can be verified through TAN’s records.
TAN reserves the right to refuse a voucher that appears to have been copied, altered, tampered with or obtained fraudulently.
Refunds
Gift vouchers are not normally refundable or exchangeable for cash once purchased, except where required by law.
Purchasing a voucher does not affect the customer’s statutory rights. Any refund legally due for a service or product purchased using a voucher may be returned to the voucher balance or provided as a replacement voucher, where appropriate.
Salon Services and Suitability
Customers must complete any consultation and consent forms required for their chosen service.
TAN may postpone or refuse a service where:
- The customer does not meet the relevant age requirement
- Suitable identification is not provided
- A consultation identifies a possible contraindication
- Staff believe proceeding may be unsafe or unsuitable
- Providing the service would breach salon policy or legal requirements
Where TAN cannot provide a service for suitability or safety reasons, the voucher may still be used against another eligible service or product, subject to these terms.
Changes to These Terms
TAN may update these terms when reasonably necessary. The terms applying when the voucher was purchased will continue to govern that voucher unless a change is required by law or benefits the voucher holder.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
